Privacy Policy
This page explains what personal data malikadeelimtiaz.com collects, why, and how it's handled. For details on cookies and local browser storage specifically, see our Cookie Policy.
Account data
When you create an account, we collect your email address and either a password (for native sign-up) or your email and name via Google sign-in (and other identity providers we may add in the future). Passwords are never stored or seen by us in plain text — authentication is handled entirely by AWS Cognito using the Secure Remote Password protocol. Your sign-in session is kept for one hour and does not silently renew — you'll need to sign in again after that.
Email updates
If you sign up for email updates via the footer form, we store only your email address, used to send you updates about new lessons, articles, and site features. We never sell or share this address with third parties.
Console (video hub)
Likes/dislikes on Console videos are tied to your account and used only to display aggregate counts. Video playback itself is embedded from YouTube or Vimeo, which may set their own cookies and collect data according to their own privacy policies — we don't control that.
Linux Lab
Starting a lab launches a temporary cloud container just for your session. Nothing you type or do inside the terminal is logged or retained by us — the container is permanently destroyed once your session ends or expires.
What we don't do
No advertising networks, no selling or sharing personal data with third parties, no cross-site tracking.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Your choices
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Significant changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
